Heilongjiang, a major agricultural province in China, is now ushering in a bumper harvest of grain crops. In the rice growing area in Heilongjiang Gongqing Farm of Beidahuang Group, the domestic first-class rice demonstration field jointly built by China BlueChemical Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China BlueChem) and the Gongqing Farm are attracting tourists to make a photo stop with five giant paddy paintings coming to life. The main pattern shows a huge barn and large agricultural machinery standing on a giant ship, with agricultural aircraft and 5G technology in the sky, and the vessel seems to be coming riding the wind and crest the waves. ‘Building an agricultural aircraft carrier, developing a strong agricultural country’, the people’s ambition on this black land is revealed in this painting. In another painting, the gate of Gongqing Farm is open, and a pair of ‘green’ hands hold up fertiliser and seeds, symbolising China Bluechem's efforts to provide a solid guarantee for the improvement of agricultural quality and increase of food production. Li Ruiqing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chairman of the Labour Union of China Bluechem told the press that in 2024, China Bluechem and Gongqing Farm cooperated innovatively to build a green planting, processing and sales industry chain of rice production. In the jointly constructed high-yield rice demonstration field, high-quality and flavour varieties of fragrant rice were selected and bred. Through China BlueChem's tailor-made Plant Nutrition Solutions, full-scene guidance was provided to Gongqing Farm. Combined with Gongqing Farm's high-quality rice mulching cultivation technology, the yield and quality of rice have been improved through various technological means. ‘This cooperation has been a powerful attempt to empower agricultural production with the new quality, to promote the high-quality development of enterprises and agricultural production with efficient, intelligent and visual planting mode, and to contribute to the farmers’ benefits and rural revitalisation’, said Li. The development of agriculture cannot be separated from the supply of high-quality fertilisers. Since the commencement of production, the supply of nitrogen fertilisers from China Bluechem’s Huahe Company has accounted for 40% of the total amount of nitrogen fertilisers in Heilongjiang Province, which has effectively suppressed the price of nitrogen fertilisers in the region, lowered the cost of fertilisers for farmers by RMB 150-200/tonne and contributed more than RMB100 million to the farmers’ income every year, and contributed 5.4 million tonnes of fertiliser products for Heilongjiang in total. As a central enterprise involved in agriculture, Huahe has actively responded to the call of the state to ‘lose weight and increase efficiency’ and built a 300,000-tonne project of green value-added compound fertiliser, on the basis of being the main force of central enterprises in ensuring the supply of fertilisers. Combined with the characteristics of soil and crops in the Heilongjiang region, Huahe has developed customised and high-end fertilisers through scientific research and cooperation, which changes the status quo of the low compounding rate of compound fertiliser in Heilongjiang Province.
